Aqua One PremiumSub Ceramic Biological Media 650g

Aqua One PremiumSub is an extremely porous sintered glass biological media that can be used in all types of filtration systems such as pressurised canister filters, hang on filters, internal filters, and wet/dry filters. PremiumSub provides the most ideal environment for the cultivation of denitrifying bacteria, due to its porous nature. PremiumSub is a key component to a healthy and productive biological filtration system.

Suitable for: both freshwater and saltwater aquariums

For Biological Media:

Do Not Replace Monthly: Unlike the physical filter cartridges (which trap debris and need monthly changes), ceramic biological media should not be replaced or aggressively washed out with tap water. Doing so will destroy the beneficial bacteria colony and cause your tank to cycle again. 

Rinsing: If it gets clogged with debris over a long period, gently rinse the ceramic rings in a bucket of old tank water (never chlorinated tap water) during a routine water change.
