Suitable for all types of filters. The ceramic rings are used to provide a huge surface area upon which beneficial bacteria may grow. This beneficial bacteria is part of the nitrogen cycle, breaking down toxic ammonia to nitrite and then the toxic nitrite into relatively harmless, nitrate. Use in conjunction with Pisces Laboratories bacteria:

  • Highly porous surface area
  • Increases biological activity
  • Improves water quality
  • Can be used in–filter or directly in aquarium
